2) Join both pieces in center, overlapping border with paper tape. Affix tape to both sides evenly and trim.
3) Zig zag stitch joint together.
5) Fold pages accordion style so that slots open at top and stack behind slot at the far left (near page protector border edge) 6) With a bone folder, crease each fold. Set aside, preferably under a heavy object so album holds it shape.
7) Cut 2 sheets of patterned paper at 6” high x 4” wide. These will be sewn together to make the back cover.
8) Measure in ½”, score and fold both sheets with bone folder.9) Tuck front and back together. Tack with adhesive to hold in place.
10) Sew around perimeter on 3 sides only – making sure not to sew on the folded ½” flap
11) Tuck folded page protector accordion album into cover – with the page protectors border edge tucked under the scored flap from the back cover. Zig zag stitch page protector edge to back cover flap. Set aside.
12) Cover large chipboard element with paper or paint. Punch hole at side that will be near back cover flap.
13) Thread ribbon through hole.
14) Attach piece of red line tape to back cover at location where ribbon will overlap back cover. Attach ribbon to back making sure enough hangs over the edge to tie album closed.15) Make cover page, slide into slot behind chipboard element. Embellish as desired. (I like to use lined paper on the back of this page and use it as my journaling spot.)
Add photos, journaling, etc. trimmed to 2 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" high.
Viola -you're done!
