Another Hurricane

This week in NJ we were buzzing with the potential collision of 2 big storms over the state. They call it 'frankenstorm'. Today I've got to finally face reality that a huge weather event is on the way and we must prepare. Get everything in from outside and do the requisite grocery store visit for water, bread and batteries. I'm dreading it. I'm also dreading how this storm threatens to ruin Halloween for my kids. It's already wiped out the trunk-or-treat we were supposed to participate in tomorrow. Praying we are spared the flooding, downed trees and power outages that are always a result of these things. If you are on the East Coast too - hope you are safe and sound over the next few days!

Today I'll share a page with pictures from a sunnier day back in September - that I made with the Simple Scrapper Premium Membership sketches for November. I love the clean simplicity of Jennifer's sketches. The ocean was calm and beautiful that day. Not the case today, I'm sure.

I did not stray far from the original sketch this time. The great thing about using sketches is that when you are feeling mojo-drained, they keep you going. (Mojo-drained was an understatement for this month!)
I used last month's Studio Calico kit for this one (Roller Rink). Added in more of that wood veneer - which I happen to love a lot. Might have to restock on that item!
