The First Day

Of school, that is. I'm up early but the little people are not. Hoping for an easy day and a good report when they get home. We had fun yesterday labeling all their new supplies, and packing backpacks. I had fun doing this:
Which, as my scrappy friend Amanda pointed out - should last about a week. If that! These are all our of our 'excess' school supplies, collected in one place. Hopefully, I'm not missing anything here because I can't bear the idea of going back to Staples this week.

In the process of purging old broken & dirty crayons and packing away all of last year's art projects I discovered a little collection of really adorable pencil sharpeners. Apparently my daughter buys these in the school store every Friday and I'm a little obsessed with them! (I guess she is too!) I need to take better photos because these are a layout waiting to happen!

Yesterday we went up to the Twin Lights Light House. The view from up there is amazing - you can see NYC here and the Freedom Tower, getting taller each day. Love the new skyline:

In the gift shop I picked up this book and noticed there's even a Twin Lights rubber stamp - how cute is this:

Time to get moving now - I hope you all have a great day!
And you can still enter my Big Picture Classes giveaway - right here.
