You can check it all out right here - and keep an eye out for the holiday kit!
Here's my first page for October. I took these photos on Wednesday on our trip into the city with the cousins:
In a large vertical area I made a pocket for some memorabilia from the memorial. I love that I was able to incorporate these items onto the page.
Here you can see the Amy Tan puffies (are they not the cutest things ever?) with some Lily Bee tags. All of the product here is from the Scrapbook Circle kit from September (main kit plus the add-on).
It's not a full pocket, just a place to tuck stuff in - I will be counting on the page protector to hold it all together in the album:
We spent a good chunk of time Wednesday down in the Ground Zero area. We got to view the 9/11 Memorial and get up close to the new Freedom Tower - both are incredibly moving. The last time I was actually in the World Trade Center was in 1997 - on the observation deck which was scarily high and noticeably swaying. While I'm glad I had the chance to do that, I almost wish I didn't know what it was like up there.
I love this picture. The random Elvis impersonator was just wandering around looking at the memorial. I took the shot so fast I didn't have time to adjust any settings. Luckily, it turned out ok. A second later he walked away and I didn't see him again.
Love the reflection in this shot. The building at the upper left is like a giant mirror:
Here we are - me and the cousins and Marilyn & Chris.
