Haunted House Treat Bag with SRM Stickers

By far, my favorite time of year - love everything about the Fall and especially Halloween. My challenge this month at SRM was to put together a cute treat bag project. SRM Stickers are really perfect for projects like this.

To make this project I started with a simple paper bag (apx. 4 x 5 with a flat bottom) purchased at the local big box craft store. I drew my window with pencil then slipped a narrow cutting board into the bag and cut on the lines with an x-acto blade:

A trick that works for me when cutting with the knife is to first cut an 'X' from the inner points, then cut out the little triangles. For some reason, it makes the cutting seem more manageable for me.

I used a Hambly transparency, attached from the inside, to make my window then filled the bag with a handful of Peeps ghosts - making sure some of the little faces were peeking out the window. I added the roof; a folded square of black cardstock, layered with scalloped strips of the same cardstock and some SRM 'We've Got Your Border' Stickers.

Here's the side view. I added another piece of black cardstock for the base. The flat bottom is important because it lets the bag stand on it's own.
If you stop by the SRM Stickers blog today you can see a complete list of the stickers I used for this project - along with dozens of other great SRM Sticker projects. Susan and Jenyfur are so great at keeping the blog fresh with creative inspiration!

Hope you have a great day - thanks for stopping by!
