Sunday at The Studio & A Winner

It's a new term at The Studio Challenges starting today and I'm excited to be part of the team. This is the start of my second year there. (Can you tell I love working alongside those gals?) Today, Amanda has challenged us to use a new technique on our page. I shuddered when I read the challenge - I'm such a creature of habit. Fearing the 'new' is built into my DNA :) For the sake of craftiness, I pressed on....

For my page I decided to stamp a background. While I've used this technique on card projects, I don't think I've ever used it on a page. Armed with my Studio Calico kit from last month I got going. The fact that the stamp was clear made the process a lot less intimidating. This cool circle border stamp had potential...

I stamped the lines of circles across a simple white cardstock base. (I used 8 1/2 x 11 to make the space less intimidating). Those big letters are cut from a Basic Grey paper from the kit. The October Afternoon sticky keys fit perfectly into the circles:

I stitched across the rows of stamped circles to add a little texture and to tack down tiny punched circles from the same pattern as the big letters:

As I mentioned above, we have a new team (and a larger team) to inspire you. They've put together a great gallery of projects that are sure to inspire. I hope you will play along with us. Link up for a chance to win this month's prize!

Speaking of prizes - I've got a winner today of the Olympic Blog Hop giveaway.

That's #25 - Brenda. Congratulations - drop me an email at valfm66@yahoo.com to claim your prize!
Thanks to everyone who played along with us!
