Sunday At The Studio (and a little giveaway!)

I love a challenge from The Studio - this week Amanda challenged us to make a layout about something we are looking forward to. This time of year, with summer about to end, I'm always looking forward to Halloween - the weather is great, it's fun to decorate and there almost no pressure. Love everything about it! So, here's my page:
Dug into the Studio Calico Boardwalk kit for this. Also used a little of the Tide Pool add on and a few extras from my stash. Didn't think I was going to but I love that kit & add on. This layout is kind of a first for me. I don't usually ever tip things at an angle. Here's a detail - you can see that mistable muslin trim from Pink Paislee. I need a lot more of that stuff:
materials: patterned cardstock: Authentique, Sassafras, Crate; trim: Pink Paislee; letters, spray ink: Studio Calico; brads, fabric shapes: Basic Grey; journal spots: American Crafts; small letters: EK Success; words: Girls Paperie

I hope you will stop by The Studio Challenges and play along. You could win a great kit from Scrap Rat. The team did an amazing job this week if you are in need of inspiration!

I remember when I was in my 20's wondering what it would be like when I was double that age. Well, now I know. To celebrate this day - my birthday somewhere in the 40s - I thought I'd giveaway some items I've accidentally purchased twice or received doubles of.  There's some Pink Paislee metal name plates, a Sew Easy head, some great 7 Gysies chip alphas, some Tattered Angels, a little Maya Mist and a Lemon Drop Jenni Bowlin ink (one of my faves :). So, just leave a comment - tell me what you are looking forward to - and you will be in the running! I'll pick a random winner on Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by!
