Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab

The weather in the northeast has finally cooled down - enough for me to be able to sit at my desk and make something crafty. My scrap area is in the attic part of our house/a.k.a, a third of the master bedroom. During the day there is not enough air conditioning to keep it cool - especially when it's 100 degrees and humid outside. At night it's fine, but I'm a morning person. Not a lot of craftiness going on at night here, unless absolutely necessary. I wish I was one of those people that can pull the all-nighters. I'd get so much more done.

Today, though, while the sun was shining (sort of)  I made a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World. Here's the trigger photo:

and here's my card:

This was attempt #3 of 3. I had a few ideas but the first 2 didn't turn out as planned.' I just got that Hambly woodgrain tape and I was dying to use it. I used the 2 colored tapes plus a strip of an SRM sticker to mimic the layers of the ice cream. The wood veneer heart replaces the popsicle stick in the photo. Here's a close up:
materials: cardstock: Bazzill, American Crafts; tapes: Hambly, American Crafts; sticker: SRM; veneer heart: Studio Calico; stamp, punch: Stampin' Up; string: Divine Twine

Busy week up ahead but I'll be back for sure with my FYI challenge card on Thursday and hopefully a few other bits of craftiness throughout the week. Enjoy the day!

I thought the ice pops were another yummy creation of yours! The card is GORGEOUS!! I just LOVE it! I might need to lift this...

And I'm more of a night owl, I get craftier when it's all quiet in the house & I don't have to worry about any time schedules. BUT I wish I were more of a morning person. Go figure! Do we get to see your craft room? Hint hint hint.... ;)

Ugh, hot & humid. My least favourite weather ever. You have my sympathies for sure :(
For not having a lot of crafty time, you sure made the best use of it! This card is simply lovely - that heart is fantastic, and the tapes...and that little twine bow :)
