For Your Inspiration Challenge

Today is the first challenge at For Your Inspiration - the new challenge blog created by Steph Castro. I hope you will join in on the fun of these photo-based inspiration challenges. So, without further ado, let's get to the first challenge - here's a little peek at the inspiration photo:

and here's what I made:

materials: cardstock, patterned paper, bling: Stampin Up; frame: K & Co.; ticket, pin: Tim Holtz; ink: Ranger; mist: Tattered Angels; ribbon: MME

I made 2 versions of this card. My husband told me the first one looked like it needed to have some Wise Men and a Baby Jesus on it. So, I made a few changes! I used distress ink to try to make a gradient background, also used a little silver metallic mist to mimic the metallic elements on the inspo photo. It's hard to see the stitching but it is also silver metallic.
