Yesterday, I began the unexpected and exhausting move of my scrap space.
The untimely death of my sewing machine at that hands of my children made me realize I need to work in a more protected area of the house. I've resisted moving because I like being where they and hearing them play while I work. And up until now, they've show little to no interest in my 'stuff.' That has changed over the past few months and honestly, hearing the music of Super Mario over and over while I'm creating is hurting my brain. So, I spent yesterday essentially chopping my bedroom in half (it's a fairly large & unique attic space) and carving out a scrap space. It was a design challenge to say the least. It's not exactly what I had in mind for my 'scrap room' - and there will be challenges working up there - but it will do for now until I can take over my husband's office (don't tell him I said that ;) A few more trips to Ikea, a big paint job, and my vision will be complete. I'll share details when it's all done!

There's nothing I love more than nosing at people's scrap spaces :) Can't wait to see your new upstairs space! Once you're done, can you give me some pointers for mine? ;) I hate not being able to decorate in my rental house!
can't wait to see what you do with your new scrap space - I've been "working" on mine for months, but must get serious about fixing it, as my sewing machine is on it's last legs due to little fingers, too!
i bet you will enjoy your new scarp space. the peace and quiet alone will inspire you! i am still trying to find an alternative space for myself...if only!
