In the works

Happy Monday - it's going to be a long, busy week here so I thought I'd check in just in case I go missing for the next few days. I worked on my Picture Fall album yesterday and thought I'd share some progress photos.
Here's the opening page:
I searched high and low for a small package of printable transparencies but they did not exist, so I wound up using my old friend vellum - and I like it.
Here's one of the layouts:
The photos are printed at 5 x7 then mounted on a piece of black cardstock cut to 6 x 7. The caption/photo prompt was typed in Word then stitched down to the photo. I'm keeping this one really simple so it actually gets completed. I might add some more text on the back, like photo location or even camera settings but I'm not sure yet. No pressure, that is the key to this album. The same will be true for the Christmas Daily which is also in the works. These things are supposed to make our lives easier, right?

Speaking of making lives easier, Ella Publishing is hosting an online share - which is like a blog baby shower!

The share is to help Angie Lucas, who just welcomed newborn Baby Keira, collect advice on anything and everything motherhood. Feel free to add a link (it's a simple process) of your advice, favorite products, books, etc.  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

This album is OUTSTANDING! Adore everything about it. I have been thinking about my DD since Ali's post went up, and after reading your comment about vellum, I might have to try that instead of the more expensive transparencies. Thanks for the tip!

GORGEOUS Valerie. Every element is so elegant. LOVE the vellum idea - though I did manage to find my package of transparencies. Oh, the beginning of my creative DD conundrums :)

This is a great idea...love it! I too, am taking the Picture Fall class and have been contemplating how to display my photos. Where did you find the album to house your photos?

Sasha - thanks so much for the offer :) I'm just to cheap to buy 50 of them when I really only need about 5.
Stephanie - the album is a Maya Road binder. Can't recall where I picked it up - it's about 9 x 7
