I'm starting to prep several guest blog posts, all holiday-related. I also put this together over the weekend, but only got as far as the cover:
The Christmas Daily. I always fall behind on this project too, but it's definitely worth it. The last time I did one was in 2008 and I still page through it, in awe of all the information it contains. Things I would have surely forgotten. This year, I'm going to keep it really simple, and smaller. This is a 6 x 6, my last was 8 x 8. Those extra 2 inches make a big difference. I'll share the insides once I figure them out.
Oven is cranking today and will be over the next 2 weeks. I've got 3 kid parties to make Halloween cookies for, plus some that I give to neighbors. Think I'll try to come up with some cute crafty packaging this year. I'll have that all later in the week. Also have a baby shower to bake for - 110 baby bottles and rattles, due right after Halloween.
Oh, and Picture Fall - I'm so far behind on that it's not even funny. I was out on Sunday trying to catch up but there are some challenging prompts that I haven't tackled yet. I vow to catch up though, because I really like the way my album is turning out, and will hopefully have a pile of photos to share on Friday. In the meantime, here are a couple of my Sunday shots - from a place best described as our local 'Halloween-land':
my peeps...
a really cool blow up...
tickets for the Jersey Devil Hunt - I was afraid to move to NJ when I was little because of that guy - I hope they catch him this year!:
Anyone else starting to stress on the holidays?

Well, I love the front cover and can't wait to see what you do with the rest of it!
No stress. Yet. Adore your DD cover. Layering at its best!
oh my this is gorgeous-- love the fall pics too! I too hate the fact that the best time of year tends to be so stressful. :(
Yes, I'm stressing a bit. I have sets of Christmas cards to make for my next market in November, and I'm not really in the Christmas mood yet! I also want to do a December Daily for the first time this year and need to get some supplies together for it!
well you do seem to be a busy bee! take a breath and try to think one thing at a time...! well good advice ! i can not keep to it myself!! ahaha!! so good luck and I would love to see more of this christmas project!!
BTW, your cover looks great! Can't wait to see all of it!
Your DD cover looks fantastic! Good for you for attempting it again this year! Every year I sit and watch everyone else give it a go as I know I would fail miserably at actually finishing it.
LOVE the cover of your book!!
oh, so lovin your work! i also love those tickets to the jersey devil hunt-too funny! i remember my uncle al telling us stories about the jersey devil around the campfire when we were young. i was afraid to go to the camp ground bathroom without someone after dark! and yes, i AM stressing about the holidays!!!!

Your cover is beautiful, Valerie!
awesome cover and great pics! as for the holidays.. not even going there yet. ;)
Oh yes, I'm stressing the holidays. I'm making quilts for my girls and last night was the first time I made any sort of cut into the fabric. Crossing my fingers I'll get it done.
I'm loving what you've done for your December Daily! I am REAALLY hoping to do one this year. It is definitely on the agenda. I have been setting aside product to use, but haven't started yet. Fingers crossed there too!
The book looks great!
I'm not even admitting it's November on Monday, never mind that it's time I thought about Christmas. So, I'm taking a stand, un-following your blog and going into hiding.
Only joking, I'm desperate to see the rest of your DD! I'm still not convinced I'm going to start one this year, but we'll see :)
no stress yet, finally have my christmas planner up and running, christmas card list up-to-date, ideas for cards percolating, and I bought paper for my albums last night at a crop, so I might even get my albums prepared before december 1st!
I am just loving all of the detail shots in your photographs. Everything looks so delicious - whether paper or cookies!!!
