Sunday & A New Challenge

My head is still reeling from all the amazing things I learned yesterday in Julie's class but I need to focus on the fact that it is Sunday -- and that means a new challenge at The Studio! Once again, this week's challenge is sponsored by the awesome Cosmo Cricket. The challenge this week:

Use at least 5 different patterned papers on your page.

Nothing I love more than to mix a whole bunch of patterns. So I went back to the DeLovely collection. A bold, bright choice when the challenge is to use 5 patterns, but I knew this collection would totally suit my sunny, happy beach pictures. So here's what I made:
and here's a close up of the stitching - machine stitching at the perimeter and on the 'waves' then French knots in the little flowers. I broke out my ancient Creative Memories curvy paper trimmer again to make those waves. I love that thing!
materials: patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket (DeLovely), cardstock: Bazzill; letter stickers: Basic Grey; flower punch: Martha Stewart; string: Stampin Up; curvy trimmer: Creative Memories; felt button: floss: Making Memories; craft supply

So, what do you think? Going to join in on this one? C'mon....let's see you mix it up! If you need more inspiration, stop by and check out the beautiful work the DT has posted.  You will be inspired, oh yes, you will!

And don't forget about the cyber crop on August 21 (aka Val's Birthday)! There will be great classes, challenges and prizes all day long. Here's a little sneak of the page I made for the challenge I'm hosting:
There's a great prize up for grabs, too so I hope you'll join in!
Also, Amanda has posted the adorable vintage kit for the cyber crop project she put together. She's got a very limited quantity so snap one up while you can!
Tomorrow I'll give you the run-down of my class in NY with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. Thanks to that class, I can now easily handle the next Studio challenge, which I have to admit I've been dreading! Can't wait to get started now...
