I wanted to make a layout with photos centered and some kind of border underneath. To make the border I punched the squares from a scrap of kraft with a 1" square punch, then punched them again with an ancient (and I'm talking circa 2006) bubble punch from Creative Memories. Boy, am I happy I finally used that thing! Then I layered the color behind the holes. In this case - I used the Pink Paislee paper tape from a past Studio Calico kit, and that groovy American Crafts Abode scalloped paper from the current Studio Calico kit. I added a Basic Grey border then stitched it all down. I embellished some of the punched holes with the dots from the Thickers alphabet. Here's a close up of the punched border:
Supplies stretched: check. Ancient punch out of retirement: check.
Thanks for stopping by!

Such a sweet layout-I feel the same way about my 7 year old guy! Love how you used that CM punch, good for you getting it out of the mothballs! :)
