TCB...

that's what Elvis used to say -"taking care of business" -which is what I'm doing today! Just finishing up a cookie job, working on submissions for approaching deadlines and trying to plan a park playdate for the afternoon. (It's way too nice here in the Northeast to stay inside today!) And, I've got a few things to cover in the blog today...
First of all - Happy Mother's Day to all you moms (and moms-to-be!) I hope you all have a lovely day. Here's a little card I made for the Cards Blog this week - the challenge was Mother's Day:

I finally got my hands on some old patterns at a yard sale last weekend. I punched the flowers above from the instruction sheet, sewed them down and used those glass gems in the centers. That's Little Yellow Bicycle from the Clothesline collection in the background. That paper has the nicest texture. It's a familiar texture. I finally realized today when working with it, it almost feels like really thick money. The letter stickers are Webster's Pages, and the red label is October Afternoon.

Finally got to put my enormous stash of American Crafts Halloween line to use. (I won the whole collection last Fall with a layout I entered in their weekly challenge.) I have never owned the whole line of anything so I am shocked at the sheer quantity of product. There were at least 6 packs of just Thickers! The people over at AC were extremely generous. They are awesome! Here's a sampling of what I made this week:

So much to play with. I could work with this line for the next 2 months and still probably have product and ideas left to work with!

Also significant this week - this is my 101'st post!

Almost slipped by me...so I thought I better acknowledge it before it got to 102, 103, etc....I can't tell you how much fun I've had with this blog. Thank you all for reading my words, looking at my pictures and leaving your comments. You really make my day!
